Initiatives

• Subject overview. Proposed overview for future years including units, technical skills, ATL skills, key and related concepts, and global contexts.

• Department growth and vision through to 2025. Includes academic program (MYP), inclusiveness and equity, technical program, tools & equipment, department structure, facilities, community and service, and budget.

The technical skills pathway is a structure that allows students to navigate purposefully through the MYP Design program.

The digital badge program is intended to support the technical skills pathway program by rewarding accomplishment.

A collaborative effort to create three makerspaces for the Design program, the digital, product and common makerspaces. Initiatives I took were:

• • Acquisition and maintenance of 3D printers and robotics kits.

  • Creation, organization, and stocking of supply room, including small tools.
